Sayed Shuhada Committee, dependent to Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Basra, in cooperation with Sobol Al-Marouf and some philanthropists from Oman distributed meat parcels among needy families, orphans, and the families of Iraqi martyrs. The charity work was as a gesture to pray for the health of Imam al-Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance) in the provinces of Najaf, Baghdad, Diwaniya, Samawah, Maysan, and Basra.
